Frequently asked questions.
Is the price per person or total cost?
The price is for up to 4 people and yes it is the total cost. So if the listed price is $260 up to 4 people can go for that price..
Which tour is best to see petroglyphs?
The only tour that doesn’t involve petroglyphs is the Moonshine arch tour. The other three will take you to petroglyphs. I wouldn’t say one is better than the other, but if you don’t want to do any hiking then the Rock crawl tour or Rockin the arch is the one to do. The Josie Morris tour does require a small hike down through a cool crack in the rock.
How hard is the hike to see the dinosaur tracks?
This is kind of hard to answer. I would say if you are under the age of 30 you will hardly notice it. 30 to 50 you should make it just fine. 50 and above if you are in realitively good health you will do all right. You will have to go up and back down some steep loose shale rock and a few other obsticales. It is very isolated from any thing or any one and there is no trail into the tracks its just my tracks i’ve made over the years. The problem is that it can get very hot so i try to do it early in the day. I think it is safe to say that if you have a desire to do it we can make it happen. I’ve taken people in their 80’s, folks with knee ailments and so forth. The hike is well worth it if you are in to dinosaur tracks..
What if i have booked a tour and end up wanting to extend it or do a different tour?
All of the tours are tailored to you. Upon meeting and discussing what you would like to do I can fit the tour to your needs. If you would like to go to the arch but not do the rockcrawling and instead go see petroglyphs we can do that. If you plan the Josie Morris tour in the morning and then decide you would really like to go experience the Rock crawling I can usually make that work. I try my best to meet your expectations.
This is more of a disclaimer than a question
These tours are real jeeping we aren,t just driving down a smooth gravel road, although some of it is that. I take every care that i can to make it a comfortable ride but it does toss you around a little bit. The rock crawling is where it gets a bit more bumpy with steep climbs and hard drops. I have never had anyone say that the ride was too rough but just be prepared for real jeeping!
