Full Description- Your guide will meet you at your hotel or we can meet at the Jensen Bridge*. We will start by crossing the Green River and in just a few miles we decend a steep sand hill (we like to call it “Butt Pucker Hill”) straight to the edge of a 50 foot cliff. It’s a great way to get your adrenalin pumping1 Then as we drive on the red rock sandstone cliff ledge you’ll get the opportunity to see our version of a famous extra terrestrial. We will follow deep chasms, cross slickrock, get “tweeky” a few times. The rock formations and desert lanscape are so beautiful as we work our way to the base of Blue Mountain. We will start our ascent and in less than four miles, we will climb almost 2,000 feet! At the summit, we will take a short break in the shade of the Pine trees before making our way to Blue Mountain Overlook. At over 8,200 feet altitude, you can see hundreds of miles in each direction, with views of Colorado, the Book Cliffs, the High Uintah’s, and Split Mountain. If you are brave you can even look off the edge of the sheer cliff. Going down the mountain is just as much fun as coming up. We will wind our way through the bouncy, trouncy Cedars. Hold on and think skinny thoughts as we squeeze between limbs and bounce over rocks.

Extend your fun!

Do you have an extra hour? Add a short hike to see ACTUAL dinosaur tracks. The tracks are just a mile as the crow flies from the petroglyph wall, but it will take you a little while to get there. However, it is SO worth your time. Where else can you see dinosaur tracks? Check out the photo below.
